The room was clean, and the woman who greeted me was very helpful. She gave me a map with suggestions, and the hotel was in an excellent location. The only issue was that there’s no elevator.

We stayed twice last year, a week each time, in two different rooms, and had nothing to fault. Everyone was accommodating and kind, from the office staff to the lovely room service woman, who was caring and brought us whatever we asked for. I can be a somewhat demanding guest, so I appreciated that. There was nothing wrong with the bathrooms either. The staircase is old, sure, but it’s part of the history, and staff helped with our heavy bags. I can’t understand how people come up with their complaints or write such nasty reviews. We’re looking forward to coming back. I’d only just seen those negative reviews when I went on the site to book again for September. They’re all lies, he must have been paid to post them.

BAIT AND SWITCH. The online photos looked gorgeous, but this wasn’t the hotel they showed. It was trash. The room itself was barely okay, and I might have stayed if the rest of the hotel hadn’t been so terrible, with a nasty stairwell and no elevator. They lied about us to Expedia and refused a refund or cancellation for half the stay, saying, “we’re a b&b, we don’t have to follow those rules.” A block away, we found a perfect 3-star hotel for exactly the same nightly price.

The room was cute and clean, and the cleaning service was great. It felt safe at night, there were no problems, and the other guests were friendly. The location was perfect and the staff were extremely nice. Best stay, highly recommend, nothing bad to say.
