Eccelso Hotel

We’ll definitely come back. The room was very clean, bright, and quiet, with a high ceiling, and there were plenty of good restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Francesca and Anca were lovely, friendly, and always smiling. They got in touch before we arrived to help us and booked a taxi to the airport for us. We even received Valentine’s Day gifts. We really recommend the place, and booking through their own site rather than booking.

Anca was especially friendly and gave me some great suggestions. The staff here are lovely, and I’d stay again. As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe walking around at night. The metro is close, and it’s a 30-45 minute walk to the central area. My room was clean and comfortable, and you can have a tasty breakfast delivered to your room for €5. The walls are a bit thin, so you may hear noise around 8am when breakfast starts. There’s no receptionist overnight.

The rooms were really quiet, and the beds and pillows were just right. The internet was fast, and we had a light breakfast brought to the room. Anca was so warm and welcoming, even though we arrived near the end of her day. She served the tray with such a kind greeting to start our morning and gave us excellent restaurant tips. The hotel is close to the Vatican Museum and Basilica. We really enjoyed Rome, much more than our time in Florence.

The young woman at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. She carried my mother’s luggage, showed us around, and explained the public transport. The hotel is in a lively neighborhood full of restaurants and coffee shops, right beside the Vatican, and the price was very good. Our room was cleaner than I expected. We had a good time and would highly recommend it.
