Ele Green Park Hotel Pamphili

The breakfast was the main letdown. The omelette seemed freeze-dried, and the pastries in general weren't good. The croissant was especially doughy and not crunchy at all, like eating a flavorless cake. The building itself is quite old and has an interesting look. There isn't much to say about the rooms, though the refrigerator appeared not to work.

The rooms and facilities need renovation urgently. So many things didn't work, and the hotel was not accommodating. When we asked for an iron, the staff snapped at us. We also needed hot water for someone with a sore throat, but they flatly refused even though the restaurant was open. Breakfast was barely three-star quality, and the muffins and bread rolls were definitely days old. Our tour company moved us here, and it was a bad choice. I'd advise people to look elsewhere.

The beds were good and the bathrooms clean. Breakfast was standard continental fare, with croissants, bread, cereals, fruit and the usual things. We were booked here through our travel agency as part of a group tour, and for that purpose it was fine, nothing fancy. The piping carries a lot of sound, so you hear the neighbors every time they flush or shower. The location felt a bit inconvenient. It's about an 18-20 minute walk to the nearest train station, and Roma doesn't have good metro availability.

The reception staff were well mannered, but I was unhappy with the hotel. There's no way to fill a thermos with hot water. Breakfast was very ordinary: tea water from a coffee machine had some kind of white residue, and there was nowhere to sit. An employee told me to share a table with other people, but the tables were fenced off even though no one was sitting there. The toilet had no ventilation or telephone shower. The renovation is old. The hotel is awful, and not four stars, only three. I don't want to go back.
