Eurostars Roma Aeterna

The staff's handling of our privacy concern was shocking. Someone came into our room with a chip without knocking. When we told reception, they didn't believe us and said it was a client, not someone from their side. I would never recommend this hotel. The stay was disappointing, the staff seemed unprofessional, and we felt there was no sense of security for us or our belongings. From start to finish, the place felt like a disaster. The location wasn't good, the facilities were dirty, and nothing about the stay was pleasant. The rooms didn't seem clean or properly maintained, and the whole place felt uncomfortable.

Both rooms we took had broken fixtures, from the door knobs to the taps. The breakfast was bad: I already find European breakfasts limited to bread and a few vegetables, but here there was nothing prepared, just raw vegetables and bread. Staff were limited and trying to cover reception, food and repairs. There was no security. They should probably call themselves a one-star hotel so people aren't disappointed, because one star would fit.

Clean and functional, but that's about all it has going for it. Honestly, it feels like a 3 star hotel. The Wi-Fi signal in the rooms is too weak to work, breakfast is mediocre, and the location isn't ideal.

The room made it hard to get any rest. It was stuffy and poorly ventilated, and I felt unwell with my face turning red as soon as I entered. The air conditioning control panel was broken. Even with “cool” selected, it blew warm air, so I barely slept. Noise was another problem: soundproofing was extremely poor, and I could clearly hear people talking in the corridor along with trains and cars outside. The door also felt loose, as if it could be taken off easily, which left me feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. Showering was unpleasant too. The water pressure was weak, and the temperature kept changing between hot and cold. The location was inconvenient, far from major attractions, which made getting around unnecessarily difficult. The room was noisy, uncomfortable and poorly maintained, and this was nothing like the standard I'd expect from a 4-star hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
