The room was clean, with a cute little shared outdoor area, and we had no trouble with the heating or water. The building is old, as many places in central Rome are. It's very close to Piazza di Spagna, and at around 60€ a night for a double room, I think it's good value. Recommended.

The room was filthy, and we couldn't even sleep. At 8am someone tried to come into our room and kept trying the door. The only positive thing about Excellence suite is its location. The reception and the person managing check-in were extremely rude and arrogant. Check-in closes early, so if you arrive after a certain time, you have to message them for a code and then hunt around for your room key. A hostel would have been a better choice. This barely deserves to be called a safe, clean, or well-mannered hotel.

I appreciated the quiet, private feel even though the hotel is central and near attractions, restaurants, and transport. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well cared for, with the essentials I needed for a relaxing stay. I also liked the calm atmosphere and the attention to the room's design.

The check-in went smoothly, and the location made it easy to walk to the main sights. Our room seemed to have been updated more recently than the rest of the very worn hotel, which was a plus, but it still had dusty and visibly dirty spots. Someone came in even though our Do Not Disturb sign was up, which felt unsettling. There was also loud screaming and fighting inside and outside, with nobody available to deal with it. We left disappointed.

Kevin made our stay memorable with his guidance and help whenever we needed it. He was a wonderful host, and we're glad we met him. The location was great too: Trevi Fountain is only a few blocks away, Termini is two bus stops away, and cafes and restaurants are all around. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks, Kevin!
