Gary at the front desk and the other staff were kind and helpful, and the location was convenient. We had a lovely weekend in Rome for my wife's birthday, but the hotel made the stay a real disappointment. At €450 a night, it was wildly overpriced and frankly disgraceful. Behind the grand, pretentious entrance hall was a maze of tiny, dingy rooms that felt more like a one-star hotel. The room was among the smallest and least appealing I've had in a major capital, and we could hear the toilet flushing next door clearly. The breakfast buffet was unimpressive, and the queue for one of just two coffee machines was annoying and unnecessary. Even at a lower price, it simply wasn't very good. I'd booked hoping to give my wife a special stay, but our enjoyable weekend was in spite of this disappointing hotel.

The rooms were clean, and the receptionist was especially helpful when I stayed on February 22, 2026. The staff were kind and good at helping tourists. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rome.

Rene, who served breakfast, was wonderful with our toddlers and our elderly parents, making accommodation after accommodation for them. He clearly cares about guests, and his constant smile matched the way he treated us. Without him, we wouldn't have enjoyed our stay as much because of some of the other technical problems. Unless there are absolutely no other options, don't stay here. The place was awful, and it felt like they cut corners wherever they could. The breakfast was stale, and the pineapple juice tasted like water with artificial flavoring. The TV wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi; when I asked for the password, staff said they couldn't connect it because there wasn't enough internet for everyone. It didn't even show football, whether the American kind or soccer. The blanket and cover were left as a DIY job, with the staff apparently not bothering to put one inside the other. The bath looked like it belonged in a junkyard, with cracks, hair, and what looked like urine stains everywhere. You have to climb two flights of stairs just to reach the elevator, which makes it nearly pointless since you might as well take the stairs to your room.
