The place was dirty, the beds were uncomfortable, and we could hear everything from the next bedroom. They didn’t provide basic things like taking away rubbish or extra towels for a stay longer than one night. We also couldn’t use the kitchen because it was locked, so we spent a lot of money eating out. The property didn’t have what was promised, and I feel the information was intentionally misleading. It’s a scam, an absolutely disgusting place, and a trap. Do not stay there, run away. They refused to take my calls or answer my messages until I said I was going to the police. I reported it to booking.com and got some refund, but I still want more to cover the stress and extra costs. They did message me a few times, but only to ask me to leave cash for the city tax.

The check-in uses combinations of codes, so read the instructions carefully and save them before you arrive. If your phone isn’t connected, you might not be able to access your room. The apartment was clean, on the third floor, and reached by a small elevator, though there are also some steps once you get there. Keep that in mind if mobility is an issue. Ours had one bedroom and a bathroom, but no kitchen. The location is excellent, right in the center and just 400 meters from the Trevi Fountain, so it’s easy to explore Rome on foot. Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, plus a leaky shower-tub that left the bathroom and hallway unusable, brought down our rating. It’s a shame, since a few small fixes would have made the stay perfect.

The room was dirty, and the bed was awful, with a mattress that sagged in the middle and extremely uncomfortable pillows. The bathroom was old and poorly maintained. Water leaked from the showerhead and through the shower screen, soaking the floor. We asked for a mop, but it never came, so we had to use towels to clean up. The ceiling leaked too. After it rained, we found the bed, pillows, nightstand, and some of my clothes wet, since the closet is open. Completely unacceptable. The cleaning needs improvement, though at least they responded quickly and moved us to another room, a 10-minute walk away. The entrance was old and poorly maintained, with a mix of unpleasant smells. The elevator is small, which matters if you have lots of luggage, and there are a few stairs to climb with it, though not too many. If you want a peaceful stay, do not book this place. We would not return.

The location was the only good part of our five-night stay. The mattress was sagging, worn out, and filthy, with deep depressions and springs digging into our skin. After long days sightseeing, sleeping on it was a nightmare, and we both came home with back pain. We weren’t expecting to have our own mattress and pillows, just a decent bed. This one was like a pigsty. It was awful.
