Hotel Gabriele

The service was at least commendable, and there’s food within walking distance. I booked this place for its proximity to Roma Termini, but the same owner moved me to another hotel a little farther away, though still walkable from the station. The room was tiny for a family, and the bathroom was even tighter. Showering meant bumping into the walls, with nowhere to put soap or shower cream, and the hot water was inconsistent. The hotel itself felt dull. I wouldn’t recommend it, and should’ve researched the place more carefully.

We were moved to hotel Gabriele for one night because of problems at the hotel Sweet Home. Being close to Termini was the one upside. The place is very dated and cramped, with a moldy bathroom and a wardrobe that was falling apart and partly blocked the doorway. Getting suitcases in and out was difficult. The windows faced a busy street, so it was noisy, and the hard beds and pillows meant we hardly slept. I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you're backpacking like me, this hotel could work. It's close to termini and the tourist spots, and the staff were really nice. They even let us check in early. The towels did smell bad, though.

The staff were very kind, and both the room and toilet were clean. It’s also conveniently located near Termini, with the center not too far away. For the price, it’s a very good hotel. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off.
