We were in Rome for the Rome Marathon, and Hotel Gravina Roma worked out perfectly for my family and me. The location made getting around easy, with the station a five-minute walk away and a bus stop around the corner with direct service to the city centre. Shops and restaurants nearby were handy, too. Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of sweet and savoury choices. The coconut cake was the best I’ve ever had! From the start, the staff made us feel welcome and explained how to see the main sights. Vito deserves a special mention. He was lovely, knew the area well, sorted out our issues quickly, and made the stay better than we expected. We’ll be back next year and would happily recommend the hotel to family and friends.

My wife and I had a great stay at the end of January for my birthday. The hotel is excellent value, the rooms are more than adequate for what you pay, and we really liked the breakfast. It’s in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from the Vatican. Thanks especially to Vito and the kitchen staff for their wonderful hospitality. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

This is a good little hotel and good value for Rome. It was clean and comfortable, with a convenient location for Vatican City and other sights if you’re up for walking or taking a taxi, which is the easiest way to get around. I’m less happy about the major renovation work. We hadn’t been warned, and while I understand repairs have to happen, we were woken by machinery, got dust and rubble coming in through our window, and couldn’t use the rooftop terrace, which is their main selling point. They should have told us ahead of time.

We’ve just come home after staying at Gravina in November as a couple. Room 101 was spotless, the shower room was excellent, and the bed, linens and cleaner were all great. The hotel is in a lovely, safe spot near St. Peters and the Vatican. We both miss it already. Breakfast was fresh, clean and had everything we needed. Thank you to all the staff.
