Happy Rome

The air conditioning failed for our entire stay in the sweltering summer heat. The room became unbearable, especially at night when the temperature peaked. When we raised it with management, they said the AC needed to "rest" before it could blow cold air again. That sounded absurd and unprofessional, and it never worked properly, so we had no relief from the heat. I asked the owner for a partial refund because of the significant discomfort, but they ignored my messages. The whole experience was profoundly disappointing and showed a serious lack of basic hospitality. Management didn't address a critical issue or show respect for guest satisfaction. I strongly advise avoiding this property, especially in summer.

We felt unsafe in the neighborhood after dark, and we nearly got robbed once. Traffic also made it really noisy at night. The room wasn't clean, could use a fresh coat of paint, and the bed was too small for two. The shared bathroom and toilet were tiny, moldy, smelly, and dirty. The door hinge was broken, so the door dragged on the floor and was hard to open and close. Worst stay we've ever had. I'd spend a bit more for somewhere else.

The place seemed good for the price, but I got bitten all over by bedbugs. The owner needs to check the mattress and replace it if they want better reviews.

There are three rooms in the apartment and just one bathroom to share. We were told we'd get the room with the kitchen, which smelled of curry and onions, but the kitchen utensils were dirty. Instead, we slept on an open sofa, and the walls were stained with grease and something else. The glass door only had a tiny lock. For this price, it felt like a scam. I wouldn't recommend it.
