Malak, who prepares breakfast, was the best. She noticed every detail and made sure we had what we needed to start the day smiling. The staff were polite, everything was clean, and the facilities were just right for a two-star hotel. The location is convenient if you want a good base for getting around and exploring the area around Rome.

The internet was poor. The signal didn’t reach our room, so I had to keep moving around to find it. If you work remotely, this wouldn’t be ideal, especially for IT professionals. I’d suggest improving the connection or adding signal repeaters. The bedroom was clean, the bathroom small, and the service excellent. They looked after our luggage after we checked out. Breakfast was simple but pleasant.

There’s a huge hole in the wall for the ventilation unit. It’s much bigger than the tube, so outside noise and temperature come straight in. The shower barely has any pressure.

The location and the mini fridge in the room were the only things I liked. It may look cheap at first, but for what you get it’s definitely overpriced. We won’t stay there again if we return to Rome. The late afternoon and evening receptionist was the least helpful we’ve ever dealt with. I couldn’t tell if it was a language barrier or just a bad attitude. The place doesn’t feel like a hotel, just a room in a random building. Several hotels and guest houses share the building, there’s no real lobby or common area, and you see mattresses and odd corners filled with hotel supplies around the place. The cleaners don’t have their own lift, so in the afternoons employees often occupied it and we had to use the stairs to and from the fifth floor. They ignored our “do not disturb” sign several times over a couple of days, even taking it away so we couldn’t use it again. Worse, while cleaning they moved my underwear, which felt disrespectful and gross. Other problems kept piling up: the toilet water ran constantly, one socket was broken, the mattress was hard, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, and the outside door was damaged. They didn’t refill the shower or sink soap even after coming into the room several times to clean. Dust from the closet got onto our clothes. The wall-mounted hairdryer only works while you hold down the button, a nightmare with my long, thick hair. The heat in the room didn’t work.
