Hotel Castellino Roma

The location made it easy to reach the Trevi fountain, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, The Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. The staff at the Hotel Castellino were welcoming, pleasant and quick to answer our questions. They went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay, including arranging car and train reservations and helping me fix my wheelchair. Daniela was especially helpful.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The layout’s a little quirky since the rooms are split between two buildings. The location is fantastic, with an easy walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.

What made the stay for my family was how friendly the staff were. We’d especially like to thank David for chatting with us and showing us the beauty of the Italian language. Grazie mille! The rooms were lovely and clean, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts. The location’s superb too, with the Trevi Fountain about a 10-minute walk away. We’ve never stayed in such an outstanding hotel while traveling in Italy.

The location is very close to the Colosseum, and the room was spacious, with an even larger bathroom. Things were good, though not perfect. There’s a major downside for light sleepers: the hotel is near a traffic light, where drivers often honk, and police cars and ambulances pass frequently, sometimes every few minutes. The noise was quite disturbing, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you sleep lightly. The elevator also has a problem, and there are no “do not disturb” signs to use.
