Hotel dei Quiriti Suite

Francesco deserves a special thank you. He’s the best receptionist! We had a really nice stay there.

The room was on the small side, but that didn’t bother me since we spent most of our time out. It was well kept and the fixtures were great. The location worked well too: it’s near the fort, and a Lime gets you to the Trevi area in about 8 minutes.

The central location was a real plus, with shops, markets and restaurants nearby, and the staff were helpful. Reception stays open around the clock, and the TV had Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime and other options. We spent four nights in a deluxe double with my boyfriend. The room felt a bit small, though we were out most of the day. There wasn’t room to leave both suitcases open on the floor, and the price felt high for what we got. The bed was wide enough but too short for us, especially with my boyfriend at about 190 cm and me around 170 cm. Our feet stuck out. The duvet sat between two large sheets rather than having a cover, and the sheets dragged on the floor. The pillows were thick, puffy synthetic sponge and made it hard to sleep well. If you’re a picky sleeper, keep that in mind. There was mould on the bathroom walls above the shower tiles. The bathroom was cramped, and the bidet got in the way of the sink. Housekeeping folded the towels each day but didn’t replace them. Street construction in front of the hotel carried on late at night and was loud. The gym was just a small room with three or four treadmills, a bike, and one machine for back, biceps and chest, with no dumbbells or kettlebells.

Being close to Vatican City was a big plus. The outside of the hotel made me uneasy about the reservation, but upstairs on the second floor the lobby and rooms had been modernly renovated. In our room the shower was broken, though it still worked.
