Hotel Delle Civette

We spent five nights here and found the hotel quiet, with large rooms and huge beds compared with many European hotels. There's a spacious elevator, a gate at the entrance, and the amenities are senior citizen friendly. The breakfast buffet was superb, and the staff there were attentive and nice. The concierge team was friendly and funny. For getting around, a bus stop is three minutes away, with a route to St Peter’s Sq, though buses come at longer intervals; Bologna station is a ten-minute walk. It's in a residential part of Rome, so the surroundings are peaceful. The hotel arranged a private transfer between the airport and hotel, payable directly to the driver. Cash is best since credit cards incur a terminal fee.

We had a quiet, comfortable room and a lovely view through the windows, with leafy trees bearing oranges, birdsong, and a floral scent outside. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was excellent. My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Delle Civette, and the location worked perfectly for us. We'd gladly come back.

Being outside the city centre suited me well. The hotel is convenient for buses and the metro, and away from the centre's traffic and noise. I spent six nights in a comfort single room. It was charming and very clean, with comfortable beds, pleasant common areas, and a fantastic terrace overlooking gardens. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the gentlemen at reception. I'd certainly stay again. What a great find.

When my luggage went missing at the airport, the staff made calls to help track it down and kept me updated every day until it was found and sent to the hotel. That was remarkable service. We had a wonderful stay, with a nice garden and great view, plus a great breakfast. Metro stations nearby make the attractions easy to reach. I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rome.
