Hotel Domidea

We thought the hotel might be a bit far out, but the free shuttle, nearby buses, and metro made getting around easy. We bought the Roma pass and found the metro the best way to travel. Everything ended up feeling close, and we'd definitely return. We had a fantastic five-night stay on our first trip to Rome. Fabrizio helped arrange a surprise for my fiancée, and even managed to surprise me too. He made us feel at home, and we've rarely had service this good. The junior suite was lovely, and Maria kept everything spotless throughout our stay. Service was friendly and professional, and breakfast was delicious.

The rooms were clean and breakfast had plenty of choice. The free shuttle was really useful, though getting around by bus and metro was straightforward too. The staff were so helpful and did everything they could for us. I'd definitely stay again.

The staff were kind, and Thanni Giaromo especially went above and beyond to help my wife when she was sick. That's why I'm giving the hotel four stars. If I could rate him separately, he'd get five. We had a good stay, but I'd like to see the hotel improve. The room was okay but short on space, and I think the layout needs rethinking. It also felt like an older hotel. We didn't know there wasn't really heat in the rooms, so it got pretty cold when the city was cold. For what we paid, I thought we might have been closer to the city center. I also found it strange that we couldn't eat in the room and had to use the lobby. They brought breakfast to my room, but when I had food delivered, I was told to eat it in the lobby.

I stayed for four nights and had a great time. The staff's hospitality made it one of my best experiences in Rome, and their customer service and attention are what hotels should aim for. Ask for Francesca, she'll make sure you're looked after. The place was clean, the food was good, and the orange cake is worth trying. It's a little far from the city center, but they offer a shuttle, so getting around wasn't a worry. For a first trip to Rome, I definitely recommend booking at Hotel Domidea.
