Hotel Euro Quiris

We reached the hotel at 00:30 with two sleeping babies, but they wouldn’t give us the room unless we paid to upgrade for four adults. I ended up paying an extra 41 euros for a room on the 5th floor. It was hot and humid, with no ventilation, and air conditioning cost another 10 euros. The local tax was already included in the Booking.com price, yet they charged it again before letting us have the room so my family could sleep. The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. The place is dated, and what was meant to be a cheap five-hour stay ended up costing more than better nearby options. I’m from Rome, and I don’t recommend it.

We were three people in a private room with our own bathroom, and we were happy with the stay. The place was clean, and our balcony had a really cozy view. Marco was very friendly. Termini station is just a 3-minute walk away, and downtown is about 20 minutes on foot. Good value for the price. I’d recommend it.

The good points are the location, very close to Termini, and a decent pizzeria right across the street. But you have to climb the stairs to the 5th floor because the lift is too old to use. They also charge extra for everything. Air conditioning was mentioned when booking but wasn’t included, and cost 10 euros.

There was no internet for the entire week we stayed, and the reception was rarely staffed, with people coming and going whenever they wanted. The room cleaning was poor, and the beds were very small. We even waited half an hour to check out because Mr. Marcos wanted to charge extra for a late checkout, though he wasn’t there to handle it. We had warned them we’d arrive late, and I asked Mr. Marco to confirm someone would be there. He replied “Thanks” and “Ok” but never answered the question, so I called. Then came the surprise: they wanted 20€ just to confirm by email that someone would wait for us. He insulted us several times and loudly told us to contact Booking because that was where we booked. When Booking got in touch, he acted as if he didn’t speak English at all. Luckily, Booking had an Italian employee.
