Hotel La Scaletta

I stayed for two nights and had a great experience. It’s hard to get much closer to the sea. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and quick to help with questions or requests. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and the cappuccino was a great way to start the day. I had a single room, fairly basic, but it was clean, the bed was made daily, and the towels were changed every day too. I’m already looking to book again later in the year.

The shuttle service was easy and efficient, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a twin room with a sea view. It was small, but there was enough space for a short stay, though I found the beds a bit hard. The McDonalds next door was noisy until the early hours. The hotel was close to the beach, town, and restaurants, and our visit was pleasant overall.

We wanted somewhere relaxed for our last night after touring Italy, before heading home to Canada, and were delighted to find this boutique hotel in Ostia by the sea, near Rome airport. It’s good value and well located, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. There’s a pedestrian-only square one block away with lovely restaurants and interesting shops, and the pier is across from the hotel. MacDonalds is next door. Our room was cozy, with a comfortable bed, an updated bathroom, and a side view of the sea. Italian breakfast was included from 7-10am. The friendly staff were great, especially the kind and efficient woman who looked after the breakfast room and made us delicious espresso and cappuccinos. We highly recommend it.

Right in front of the beach and surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants, the location was great. I stayed for two nights before my international trip home to Canada. Breakfast was included and really good, with a barista preparing different kinds of coffee. For the price, the single room was very good. The walls are a little thin, but otherwise everything was great, and the staff were helpful and professional.
