The hotel was very peaceful, with little noise apart from outside sounds, and it sits across from Roma Termini. It's a good affordable choice for large groups, especially if you plan to visit a lot, with everything within half an hour on foot. We'll come back if we visit Rome again. We had a great half-board stay: breakfast was very good with fresh food, and the staff were lovely. Grazie Mille Julio for offering us good coffee instead of the machine coffee. Our clean rooms looked like the pictures and had nice views from the little balcony. There was a small TV and a useful mini fridge, the beds were very soft and easy to sleep in, and the bathroom was very clean, with plenty of towels and hot water.

Giulio is the person I’ll remember most from our stay. Each morning he brought us coffee with a big heart in the foam, and he was so genuinely kind and attentive. Those little gestures made the place feel special. The hotel itself was lovely, spotless, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Highly recommend it.

The shower quickly flooded the bathroom floor because it didn’t keep the water contained, so we had to stop using it after just a couple of minutes. When we went to speak with staff, they seemed dismissive, with little apology, and said someone could look at it the next morning. We also found ants in the room. Family members staying in the main building said the walls were extremely thin, so it may not suit anyone hoping for a quiet night. We’d booked this place for its location directly across from the train station, but only found out on arrival that our room was in a separate building a few minutes away. That would normally have been manageable, but we had a baby and lots of luggage with us, and it would have helped to know in advance. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but there were too many inconveniences for us to comfortably recommend it.

The hotel had some fun extras for guests of the chain. We tried the olive oil and wine tasting, where there was free wine, and plenty of it if you were lucky enough to have the wine set on your table. The tiramisu experience was also pretty fun if you have time to spare. Giancarlo was a great host. Breakfast was enjoyable, basic but enough to get the family going. We liked having a room with three beds and breakfast included, which worked well for our family. At nearly $300CAD a night in November low season, it felt very expensive, though that seemed to be the going rate for what we needed, so it was fairly priced for those requirements. The location suited us perfectly: we were in Rome for a couple of days, arrived and left by train, had lots of luggage, and walked everywhere. Cleanliness was the main downside, especially the sticky-feeling floors. Otherwise it was okay. The hotel and room both seemed old, and the fan was broken and made strange noises. BZAR feels like it puts lipstick on a pig, making the outside look nice while the hotel itself is dated despite first impressions.

I only stayed one night, but I’d come back if I return to rome. The neighborhood was great, and the staff were nice and helpful. Gulio was especially great and super nice. I also appreciated the free sandals since I’d forgotten mine. Breakfast and coffee were great, the showers were nicely hot, and the view was good.
