Hotel Modigliani

The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their attention, kindness, and professionalism were outstanding, genuinely a 10 out of 10. Inside, Hotel Modigliani has the charm and character of an old luxury palace, with an elegant, calm atmosphere that feels authentically Roman. You couldn't ask for a better base for exploring on foot: the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are just steps away. A perfect choice if you want comfort, beauty, and an unbeatable location in Rome.

The included breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were wonderful too. It's a nice hotel in a convenient location, and I'd stay again, just not in that room. Our first-floor room had a balcony opening onto the courtyard, but there wasn't space for a table or chairs. I also had to keep the curtains closed whenever anyone was in the courtyard, or they could see into the room.

The location was the main reason the stay was acceptable: it's very convenient and has excellent transport links. Room cleanliness fell short of what I expected, and housekeeping seemed inconsistent. When I asked about room service, the interaction felt a little uncomfortable and could have been handled more professionally. There's room to improve both housekeeping and communication with guests.

After a stressful airport experience, we were glad to be welcomed by a friendly, attentive receptionist who asked about our plans for our first visit to Rome. The reception and lounge were bright, modern, and tastefully decorated with artwork. Our room on the second floor was cosy, comfortable, and clean, with tea and coffee supplies and cold bottled water in the fridge. We found the hotel quiet and relaxed, great for couples, and well placed for the metro. The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain were only a short walk away. There was also a lovely garden patio up some steps from reception, a nice spot for lunch or a drink later on. The room was cleaned well each day, and reception staff were always available and happy to help. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and continental, a good start before our planned walking and sightseeing. Hotel Modigliani was great value, and we'd definitely recommend it to couples looking for a base to explore Rome.
