Hotel San Paolo

Please read this before booking. Our experience was terrible. The shower head didn't work properly, switching between hot and freezing water. The floors were dirty, and there wasn't enough room for four people's luggage. The host advertised a room for three as a quadruple, saying the sofa bed was a “French bed.” Two adults won't fit in it, maybe two children at most. When we called to find a solution, he insulted us, yelled, and threatened not to refund anything. He said if we didn't like it, we could pack our bags and leave. Rude and arrogant. I recommend not booking this property, especially if there are four of you. They'll charge you for four even though the room is for three. I'm sure Rome has much better to offer.

The place has potential, but our stay was spoiled by several mix-ups. We had confirmed a crib in advance, yet it wasn't in the room, and the sheets, though said to be washed, weren't completely clean. There was meat in the fridge that wasn't ours. The shower drain wasn't letting water through properly, and the shower edges weren't secured well. We also found some money that didn't belong to us and left it in the room. The host never mentioned it or thanked us for being honest. He apologized about the cleanliness, saying the cleaning lady wasn't at her best that day, but couldn't arrange clean sheets or a crib right away. He was in the hospital and the cleaning lady had already left.

The location was excellent, but the room sold as a quadruple was really a room for two. It was honestly too small, and the bathroom was tiny too, with no bidet and a 15x30 sink.

It's new and clean, and very conveniently located for Bambino Gesù Hospital. There may be small children around during the week. Our room felt too small for four adults, and the property isn't very soundproof. It didn't really suit our needs, though it could be very convenient for families.
