The location made getting around Rome really easy. Hotel Scott House is right by the main train station, and the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain were all within a comfortable walk. We had seen some negative comments about the neighborhood because of the station, but felt perfectly comfortable there and were glad we didn't let those reviews put us off. Our room was basic, but very clean. Housekeeping came every day, so it stayed fresh and comfortable. Breakfast had a nice range of options and was a good start to the day. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with directions or suggestions. They also kept our bags after checkout since our flight wasn't until 9pm, which let us make better use of our last day. Hotel Scott House gave us warm hospitality and good value in a very convenient spot. We'd recommend it.

The room had a good-sized window, thankfully, because it smelled of cigarette smoke until we opened it. The safe didn't work, and neither did the USB outlets. Staff were friendly, and the hotel is right across from the train station, so it worked well for a layover before heading to the airport. I wouldn't choose Room 518 for a longer vacation stay, especially at $103 a night. Two nights were enough. At the current $75 nightly price, it would feel more reasonable.

Just a few steps from Termini Station, the location made train travel and getting around Rome very convenient. Even so close to the station, the neighborhood felt safe and quiet. The staff were friendly and happy to suggest things to see and do. I enjoyed the hotel's unusual charm and personality. It's a 3-star place, with clean, comfortable rooms and what you need for a pleasant stay. A good option in Rome if you're after comfort and a handy location without spending too much.

We really liked the breakfast, with plenty of choices, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Termini central station is only a short walk away. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
