Inside, it was actually clean, and the place is close to public transport into the city. The people who run it have cats, so bear that in mind if you're allergic. During our stay they pooped in the garden, and the smell was awful. The property is on a shady cul-de-sac between two bus terminals, and you'll have to leave your car on the street if you can find a spot. Only the boyfriend speaks English.

You can park your car for free right in front of the house, and in summer breakfast can be enjoyed in the garden among all kinds of plants and flowers. The setting feels peaceful and close to nature, even though you're also in the city and only two minutes from the Pigneto nightlife. The historic center of Rome takes 15-20 minutes to reach, depending on your transport. The metro is generally a four-minute walk away, and the tram is two minutes from the home.

The room was clean, but it felt like staying in a garage, and the pictures on rnbnb make the place look much better. We visited in early May and found it cold, very damp, and poorly ventilated, so we had to ask the hosts to leave the heating on. If you come in the colder months, keep that in mind. The breakfast shouldn't sway you, it was just a couple of store-bought pancakes. The water in this area was simply disgusting. There was a coffee maker but no kettle to boil water. An Auchan is a 10-minute walk away, handy for buying groceries and saving a lot of money. The central train station is half an hour away on foot, with some cafes, a club, and tram stops nearby.

Vale was a friendly, welcoming host, and the place had a relaxed, bohemian feel. It was cozy, quiet, clean, and had the things we needed within easy walking distance. If you like cats, there are two to greet you when you arrive. We stayed over Easter week, which made for an unforgettable experience. The center of Rome is well connected from here.

The mattress was really comfortable, and I liked the coffee machine with capsules and the little gift of goodies. The apartment was clean and tidy, and the owner was very friendly. It was a bit cold even though the radiators were working.
