Il Pontefice B&B

Debbie was an excellent host, with lots of local knowledge about the sights and how to get around. On arrival we were offered coffee and cornettos, and the room had air conditioning. Three of us slept comfortably, and despite the room being beside a main road, we didn't hear traffic. The hotel is a short walk from the Vatican, with good bus links to central Rome. There's a 24-hour shop straight across the road and authentic restaurants within a five-minute walk.

We booked two nights before heading back to England and were surprised to find such good value so close to Rome's sights. Breakfast was included, and everything was clean and tidy. Debora, the manager and owner, was especially helpful with directions. She speaks Italian, Spanish, and English, and, if I remember right, French too, which was a real help for us Brits with our limited language skills. We found the hotel and apartments very close to the Vatican. I'd absolutely recommend it.

There are bus stops nearby, including Bus 916 for the main places of interest, and Carrefour market is right across the street. The hardworking woman running the place keeps everything in order and makes a delicious breakfast for guests. This beautiful B&B is the best in Rome, Italy!

There's a bus stop opposite the place, with buses to Rome's famous monuments in 30-40 minutes. It's a lovely boutique hotel, and Deborah, the host, takes great care of your needs.
