The bedding was uncomfortable and unhygienic. A clean sheet covered only one side of the duvet; the other side had a heavy decorative blanket that clearly isn't washed between guests. It was far too heavy to sleep under, but taking it off left the duvet completely uncovered. That's frankly disgusting for a hotel stay.

I chose this hotel for its good location, but it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. While we were asleep, someone entered our room without knocking or saying anything, announced “room service,” and acted as if they were replacing the towels. They didn't even apologize. There was a strange smell throughout the room, and the basin was clogged. Since nobody seemed to be at reception and we'd only been given one roll of tissue, I took an extra toilet roll from the room service bag. No one was there, so I thought it wouldn't hurt. But the guy who had walked into our room came back and took it. Seriously?

The building looks great from the outside, and the location is the one real plus: it's fairly close to the train station, with bus stops right beside it. Most tourist attractions are still quite far away, though. The room had a strange smell, and the curtains, sheets, and pillows felt a bit dirty, even if you couldn't see it. The toilet and bathroom were dirty, the sink was clogged, and the shower didn't work properly. There was dust everywhere, as if nobody had been in the room for a long time. Staff weren't available to listen or help. You had to call, and it was luck if they answered in time. It's an old building. All the staff seemed to be from one particular country, and I didn't see any Italian or other staff. This isn't hate toward the hotel, just a warning for other people: if you find a better option, take it. You're paying too much here.

Room 201 was very clean and looked recently renovated. It was practical and had everything we needed, including a fridge and TV. The location was perfect.
