Imperia Suite

The location was super convenient, close to the metro, convenience stores, lots of restaurants, and boutique stores, all within walking distance. The main problem for us was the internet. It was so slow it was unusable. We managed because one of us had an EU data plan and shared a hotspot, but it could definitely be a dealbreaker for other travelers. The staff were very polite and helpful. Check-in was quick, and they clearly explained the room, key, and checkout process. One thing to know is that the city tax had to be paid in cash. The room was spacious, and all the beds were warm and comfortable. The top bunk was creaky and wobbly, though it didn’t collapse, it sometimes felt like it might. The bathroom was clean, but had a weird smell on the first day before any of us had used it. Some paint was peeling, but that was fine by me. The shower worked perfectly, and there was a toiletry packet. Breakfast was perfectly fine, if a bit heavy on sugar. The staff served pastries and made cappuccinos on request. My travel companion got very sick during the stay, and they were able to have breakfast in bed. We had a lovely stay, and despite the bad reviews that had made me wary, everything was actually completely fine. Great service and friendly people.

One bright spot was the man who made coffee at breakfast. He was kind, caring, and always willing to help with anything we asked. His attitude had a very positive effect on us, and we’re grateful to him. The room was dusty and unclean, with uncomfortable pillows and a hard mattress. There were lots of mosquitoes, and I couldn’t sleep for five nights. The internet didn’t work, and I didn’t even bother checking the TV. I really regret choosing this hotel. Our arrival was already disappointing. It was our first time in Rome, and we didn’t know about the check-in time. The administrator said we were late and was very rude, doing everything nervously. He told us that if we had arrived five minutes later, we would have to find another hotel. That felt absolutely disgusting to me. He completed check-in in just three minutes.

The central location made it easy to walk to many of Rome’s main sights and good restaurants. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated, a comfortable place to return to after long days exploring the city. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and light, just right to start the day. My husband and I stayed at Imperial Suites for five days, and the mini hotel exceeded our expectations. The personal service stood out most. Our front desk attendant made us feel welcome and cared for, offered thoughtful recommendations, and always greeted us with a smile. We highly recommend Imperial Suites to anyone visiting Rome. That personal touch made our Roman holiday truly unforgettable.

The shower water quickly turns cold. A staff member said the hot water tank holds only 80 liters, which isn’t enough. The breakfast selection was very limited (see photo), and the rooms weren’t clean, with noticeable mold in the bathroom. There’s a lot of room for improvement.
