Ingrami Suites

After the property replied to my review, I need to clarify what happened. Dario's message offered two options: stay for one night and move to another hotel for the second, or cancel without charge. It did not say he would find or arrange alternative accommodation for me. About two hours before telling me about the overbooking, he had replied to a separate question without mentioning any problem with my confirmed booking. Mistakes happen, but the property should be accurate about what it communicated. The overbooking was bad enough, and the lack of transparency and misleading reply made it worse. Ingrami Suites in Rome accepted my booking and then cancelled it just days before I was due to leave, saying they had overbooked. For people who plan ahead and depend on confirmed accommodation, that’s unacceptable. I’ve worked in travel all my life, and this is a clear example of poor management and operational control. Overbooking causes stress, extra costs, and real inconvenience. If a property confirms a reservation, it should honor it. Cancelling so close to arrival felt unprofessional and unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend booking unless you’re willing to risk having your reservation disregarded.

Finding Ingrami suites was the only hassle. If you're at the top of the Spanish steps with your back to them, it's in the corner on your right. Our cab driver wasn’t helpful, and after more than 20 hours of travel we struggled to spot a place that was only a minute from where we stood. We took a chance on a new b&b in Rome and were glad we did. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and our bright, airy room had a lovely terrace for relaxing. Dario is amazing, as people say, and the other woman there, I think her name was Elena, was wonderful too and made us feel like family. We swapped contact details as I was leaving, but I lost hers. Dario, I’d love to get in touch with her again. Thanks, we’ll be back.

Our family of five stayed in rooms 3 and 4 and felt comfortable, with access to a lovely courtyard. Breakfast was outstanding, with plenty to choose from and coffee, cappuccino, and more made to order. The B&B is right by the Spanish Steps, close to shopping, restaurants, and lots of other things.

We had such a peaceful, lovely stay here. A special thanks to Elena for welcoming us so warmly. We’ll be back!
