The room cost a lot, but we couldn’t make the most of our stay, and it was one of the worst value-for-money experiences I’ve had. We come to Rome once a month. Someone who didn’t work at the hotel welcomed us and was kind, but couldn’t explain the room’s features. Nobody explained anything afterward either. The manager was meant to come but never did. I called reception about ten times and went there in person three times to ask about the taxes and checkout, but nobody was there. There were several problems in the room: water was coming up through the bedroom floor, the door handle was broken, the bathroom washbasin was broken, and parts of the jacuzzi were broken too. On checkout day I had to leave a note at reception with the tourist taxes and hotel keys.

I booked a room for two with a jacuzzi and breakfast included. A few hours before check-in, they said there had been a mistake and moved us to what they called a “better” room. It didn’t match the photos. The place was filthy, smelled of rubbish and damp, and was very noisy. The AC and light switches didn’t work, and the room was missing about half the things listed in the description. Breakfast came to the room, not in a lounge like the photos showed. They gave us a delivery window but didn’t stick to it. I asked for 8:30, the earliest option, but breakfast arrived at 9:00 one day and 10:00 the next. For the price, the food wasn’t up to scratch either: the products were old and poor quality, so I ate breakfast at a bar outside the hotel. The room was extremely noisy. Earplugs were offered, which was the one positive, but they weren’t enough. Everything was dusty and covered in handprints from other guests. Only the towels were clean, and they changed those every day. Afterward, they contacted me asking me to delete my review because it was aggressive and I had “mistaken the place.” They have four buildings in Rome. Don’t be taken in by the photos, because they don’t show the reality. Choose another hotel, not these scammers.

The jacuzzi was such a treat after spending the day walking around Rome, and watching movies on the projector made the iMovie room feel fun and different. My husband and I had a great stay. The location was amazing, and they made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re into unusual places to stay, I’d definitely recommend iRooms.

Karina really made the stay for me. She shared favorite local spots, a great restaurant in trastevere, and some less touristy churches and places near downtown. She speaks Italian, english, and spanish, which made communication easy. I’d gladly stay again when I’m back in Roma. I picked this place for my last couple of nights before heading back to my country, and was happy they let me check in before 1pm when I arrived early. The room worked well for one person or a couple. One thing I’d change is the metal ring on the bed frame in the “bubble” room. I bumped my leg on it twice while waking up, and it hurt a bit. From what I understood, the rooms each have a different concept, so maybe the others are fine.

The location was 10/10, with everything walkable and restaurants and gelato worth trying just a minute away. The staff were 11/10 too. John replied quickly and went out of his way to help, and everyone we dealt with was great. We used the manager’s taxi service to get there, which worked perfectly. A very service-minded woman, whose name I’ve forgotten, helped us check in and showed us how to get into the room online. It was super easy. Our iCube room was clean and fresh, and the bed was really comfortable. The rooms are a fun change from the usual traditional kind. My girlfriend and I were in Rome for sightseeing, shopping, pasta, and a good night’s sleep, and this place suited us well.
