Jacuzzi Rooms

We really liked the vintage room, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Matteo welcomed us with suggestions for places to visit and a number we could call or text if we needed help. He also arranged an early morning taxi to the airport on our last day. The hotel is close to the Vatican and metro, and Tommis Burgers is nearby for the breakfast vouchers. Breakfast there was only sweet items, which was the one drawback for me, though that seems common in Rome cafés. I can definitely recommend staying here.

There’s plenty of natural light, and the rooms have mood lighting and Netflix. The interior is decorated beautifully with plants and lights, and a lot of effort has gone into making the place comfortable. It feels more like a bed and breakfast, with a jacuzzi in every room. The owner was welcoming and polite, and gave us useful suggestions and information about nearby places. When I arrived, there wasn’t a sign outside, so I had to call him to make sure I had the right building.

Such a lovely place, made with real care and heart. It’s a great spot to relax, unwind, and watch Netflix. The staff were very kind, and the cleanliness really stood out. I’d recommend it with all my heart.

We had a really difficult time getting in. Before arrival, they asked me on WhatsApp to complete an online check-in and send a selfie, which made me uncomfortable. Once there, I found out that the doors could only be unlocked using the internet. I was traveling abroad without mobile service, and the Wi-Fi couldn’t be reached until we were inside the room. My wife had to wait in the hallway while I went to a nearby bookstore to use its Wi-Fi. If you’re traveling alone or don’t have international service, this could leave you stuck. The same goes if you accidentally shut the door with your phone inside. There was no staff on site, just an apartment owner who could be reached by text, with some difficulty. After the check-in process, I had to send about ten messages to get the information needed for our first entry. Even if we’d had the Wi-Fi details, the signal didn’t reach the street. When we finally got in, there was no toilet paper. I sent three more messages before being told where the spare supply was. It was ridiculous that this was an issue. Then I noticed the remote was broken and difficult to use, one of the room’s two lights flickered, and the waste bin had trash in it. That made me wonder how often the place was really cleaned. The owner did fix things after we complained. The room was cute and generally clean, and the jacuzzi tub was great, though it oddly wouldn’t drain, which didn’t cause us a problem. Still, this should be listed as an Airbnb, not a hotel.
