Jazz Style BB

The rooms were very clean and quiet, and the balcony was great. The location is amazing if you’ve come to Roma to sightsee, with the sights easy to reach. My only complaint is breakfast. If you want something like porridge, eggs, cheese, or ham in the morning, this probably isn’t the place for you.

I thought I was booking a hotel, since the listing says “jazz style Hotel,” but it’s actually a small apartment with maybe four bedrooms. Ours was tiny. There’s no reception and no shared toilet, only the one in each room. If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can’t contact the owner, who never comes by and only chats on WhatsApp. There’s a camera by the desk, and it felt quite creepy, like he might be watching through it. The jacuzzi gets a lot of advertising, but nobody told us it was available or mentioned it in case we wanted to use it. The area is a bit far from the center, so you need to take a bus, though walking would also get you there, just over quite a long distance. There’s a metro as well, but it felt a little scary outside at night. Breakfast was from a coffee machine, not real coffee, with sweet supermarket croissants. Our balcony looked straight onto the neighbors’ balcony. The good part is that it’s quiet and simple. For what we paid, it wasn’t too bad, but we could have found a HOTEL at that price. The location was hard to fault. The metro is very close, and you can walk to sights like the Colosseum and Forum in about 20 minutes. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and there was lots of privacy in this lovely little B&B. The host was very helpful and accommodating. Having excellent coffee available all the time, along with other thoughtful details, made the stay even better.

Our host Alessandro was wonderful, kind, attentive, and quick to respond. B&B Jazz Style had clean, very nice rooms, a great sense of privacy, and a top location. I’d highly recommend Jazz Style to anyone visiting Rome.
