SCAMMERS! I didn’t get my contract for the full stay until a month and a half after I’d already checked out. The deposit was also returned THREE MONTHS LATER, a whole month beyond the stated deadline. They then kept 50% of it without explaining the EXORBITANT deduction. This is illegal on every level. They’re taking advantage of Erasmus exchange students to rip us off!!!

Getting my deposit back after renting a room through HousingAnywhere was a terrible experience. I left the apartment in perfect condition, yet they returned only half, without giving a clear reason. I asked several times for details and got nothing. Communication was extremely poor, with no transparency at all. I wouldn’t recommend this agency or the platform to anyone wanting a secure, clear process.

I told them we were coming all the way from Padua to see a room for my daughter, a university student, and made an appointment. Three minutes before it was due to start, they cancelled by WhatsApp, saying the person was on the other side of town. I didn’t answer their call, so I contacted them from another number, and they apologized. Absolutely unreliable.

After just two nights, I left and won’t repeat the experience. The room was in a pitiful state, and it was poor value for money. This student apartment had cold water, bathrooms full of other people’s products and belongings, a broken toilet, and a kitchen with no glasses but a pantry full of tenants’ groceries. The room key also opened the other rooms. I strongly advise against staying here. Disappointing on every front.
