La Fenice Hotel

We went in winter, and the room stayed warm and cosy. The shower worked perfectly, and it was cleaned very well every day, with fresh towels. The economic room wasn't large, but it was more than enough for a couple. Breakfast was really good, especially the pancakes with Nutella, and had a nice view. I loved everything about the hotel. It was only a 5 minute walk from the fontana de trevi and right next to all the luxury brands, so you felt safe. Amazing stay.

The reception desk is now around the corner, but it's a short walk and didn't inconvenience us. The concierge was helpful, and all the staff we met were very accommodating. My wife and I enjoyed our stay a lot. The rates were affordable, the breakfast was quite nice, and the location was convenient for many tourist attractions.

The room was clean, our twin room in 101 wasn't noisy, and the air con was good. The staff generally were pleasant and helpful, and housekeeping too. We were told at check-in that, although we'd booked the Concordia, we'd be staying in the annexe. The rooms are jaded and need some TLC, but the hotel is central, breakfast was very nice, and for Rome the price and location were okay.

Good location, good breakfast, and a decent price. The rooms are extremely outdated, the elevator and shower are tiny, the Wi-Fi is nonexistent, and there's no receptionist. My partner and I are both physically fit, but even we found the spaces tiny. Upgrading the rooms doesn't help, they're still abysmal and small. We chose to leave instead of staying another night. Don't depend on the Wi-Fi, and do yourself a favor and spend a little more for almost anything else within walking distance.
