La Girandola Bed Breakfast

The breakfast was excellent, and with the window shut our room was very quiet. Lorenzo was a lovely host, friendly and helpful, and made us feel like he was genuinely happy to have us there. It’s a great find close to Termini, with the historic sights easy to reach by foot or bus. I’d stay again if I’m back in Rome.

Lorenzo was so nice and happily handled a couple of awkward requests: we asked for an earlier breakfast and to leave our luggage at the B&B a little later on our last day. Breakfast was generous, with homemade pastries, muffins, yoghurt, orange juice, and a hot drink of our choice. The homemade croissants were the best we’ve ever had. The stay near the train station was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and incredible value for money. The price seemed hard to believe for such a good stay. It’s also sad to see what seem to be fake reviews trying to lower the rating. I hope they don’t put anyone off this wonderful B&B.

La Girandola worked perfectly for our early morning flight from Rome, since we wanted to stay near Termini station. The owner made us feel so welcome and even put together a takeaway breakfast for me. I especially appreciated the tea and muffin when we arrived. I’ll definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family visiting Rome.

Lorenzo’s help was a highlight. He gave us restaurant and landmark recommendations, and answered our questions about transportation and tickets whenever we asked. Breakfast, served by Lorenzo, was top-notch. The selection wasn’t huge, but it was enough to fill us up. At the time of writing there was a variety of delicious pastries; the pain au chocolat and plain croissant stood out, and that was the best croissant I’ve had in my life. The place was very clean and comfortable, and a great value for what it offers. It’s close to Termini, with easy access to buses, the metro, and regional trains. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
