Room 301 was very dated and run down, with furnishings that looked like they belonged in the 1960s. The main problem was the mattress, old, dirty, and stained under the covers. It was uncomfortable, and I could feel the metal springs poking my back. Buying a decent mattress shouldn't be too much to ask so guests aren't in pain. The bathroom was narrow and hadn't been renovated, and the shower faucet fell off when turned. Some rooms seem to have been updated, but this one clearly wasn't. To be fair, the room was clean, quiet, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent.

We stayed here from July 20 to July 22. While our family was downstairs having breakfast on July 22, staff with access to the room key stole cash and jewelry from my purse. We filed a police complaint. There don't seem to be security cameras around the rooms or hallways. It looks like organized theft targeting tourists. While you're eating with your family, they're stealing from your room. DO NOT STAY HERE. I believe the manager is involved too.

The rooms were clean, the AC worked, and that was a lifesaver during the summer heat wave. I also liked the large bathroom. Breakfast was limited but tasted okay. The service was very nice, and the people working here were kind. The location is decent and close to Termini station, though the area looked a bit suspicious at night and most attractions are fairly far away.

The managers helped us feel safe by explaining where it was okay to walk, since my guest and I are both women. I appreciated having someone in the lobby at all times, and the manager arranged a taxi for our departure. We really enjoyed the stay. On our first day we were leaving early for Pisa, two hours before the scheduled breakfast time, and the manager made sure we had breakfast to take with us.

Breakfast was mostly pastries, a real sugar rush, unless you're someone who eats ham and cheese first thing. At least the coffee was good. The walls are thin too: when the woman next door started making what sounded like a heart attack, I could hear it. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and I can't forgive the lack of in-room coffee making facilities. The room was clean, with a large ensuite, though the shower enclosure was frustratingly small. It's a perfectly reasonable hotel, about a convenient but grim 10 minute walk from the station. The area isn't appealing, but there are bars and restaurants among the launderettes and tattoo parlours. Main attractions are some distance away, and the metro is the same grim 10 minute walk in the other direction. There's also a rickety tram that goes somewhere, though I don't know where.
