Loly Boutique Hotel

The staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was lovely. The hotel itself was clean, cozy, and very quiet at night. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood, with small local restaurants nearby serving amazing Italian food at very reasonable prices. The center is about a 15-minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time in the end, and some of the staff were kind, even though the stay had plenty of frustrating moments. The hotel was pleasant enough, but no more than that, and some staff weren't very friendly. The taxi that was meant to collect us at the airport was arranged incorrectly. We waited a long time for nothing, and nobody apologized. Our Valentine's dinner at the hotel restaurant was a big disappointment too. It was too brightly lit to feel romantic, the live music was too loud, the portions were too large, and the waitress seemed unsure what to do. They served the red wine in the same glass as the welcome drink, and we didn't get a clean knife for each course. The meal wasn't worth what we paid. The floor in our room also wasn't cleaned every day, along with a lot of other little things. It felt a bit like Fawlty Towers.

The restaurant was good and reasonably priced, handy when we were too tired to eat out. The hotel itself was very nice, with friendly staff, though less luxurious than I'd expected. It's at the lower end of Trastevere, around a 30-minute walk from most sights. The roof bar was closed because of the time of year, which was a shame.

We stayed four nights in a quiet neighborhood, and the staff were very pleasant. The room was spotless and had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast had everything we wanted. A special thanks to Anastasia from Ukraine at the front desk. Highly recommended!
