Casa Macao has two bedrooms, a TV, and air conditioning, with an oven, microwave, and toaster in the kitchen. It’s in Rome’s Central Station district, near Santa Maria Maggiore, and has free WiFi and a washing machine. Piazza Barberini is an 11-minute walk away. Sapienza University of Rome is 1.1 km from the apartment, and Rome Ciampino Airport is 14 km away.

Good price, great location, and a great place to stay.

For 75,000 won a night during the July 2017 peak season, I got a clean, cozy room with strong air conditioning. The Wi-Fi was sometimes unstable, but I was satisfied overall.

The room had mosquitoes everywhere, including dead ones stuck to the walls. The place is a house with rooms, not a hotel, and I found everything disgusting. Breakfast was just cereal and water, kept in a kitchen cupboard beside cleaning supplies and disinfectant. They took a €50 deposit and wouldn't return it, saying it was a tax. I wouldn't recommend staying here, and I don't think renting it out is even legal. I'd never go back.

Cleanliness and polite service are what matter most here.
