You're here for the location, right in ancient Rome with restaurants, shops, and major sights all within walking distance. It's a five-star spot if you want the old-Rome feel, beautiful architecture, gelato shops, and outdoor patio dining. The tradeoff is that the area stays noisy late into the evening, so don't count on a good night's sleep. The old building has thin walls and ceilings, and you can hear people above and beside you. Front desk service is limited too, since it's only open from 9:00am - 5:00pm. It's also not a great choice if you have mobility issues.

The hotel is old, and check-in is at a different location. My wife slipped on a wet floor and fell. We reported it, but they ignored the complaint, although they did wipe up the water. The shower opening is tiny, about a foot, and the space is 18" square. I couldn't fit through the door, and I'm only 220 lbs.

The staff and the location are what make this place work. They were really helpful, and you can get to the sights without going far. The room itself was average, and the old building shows in its condition, though it was OK. We liked our stay, as long as you aren't expecting the Mariot.

You get the basics here, including hot water, a heater, and AC. The building feels old-school, and I noticed a damp, earthy smell. The walls are thin too, so we could hear everything from next door, lol. On the plus side, the location is very good, with food and public transport all around.

Getting around from this hotel was great, but the stay didn't feel worth what we paid. The mattress was so uncomfortable it felt like sleeping on plywood, and the WiFi didn't work at all while we were there. The room had several broken things, including the shower door, soap dispenser, and a shower head that wouldn't stay up. Cleanliness was also disappointing, with wall stains and musty-smelling sheets.
