I was really happy with the service during my five-night stay. Valeriy, the new manager, was professional and genuinely friendly. My room was clean and cozy, and water, tea, coffee, and juice were available any time, which I don’t usually find elsewhere. It was easy to get around, too: the metro’s Red line is about 10 minutes away and goes straight to the center, with the Coliseum another 10-15 minutes on foot. I highly recommend this place!

Everything was close by, and a five-minute bus ride got me to the center, so the location worked out perfectly. Friends had recommended Maxim Rooms, and I stayed there for a couple of days in Rome. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the staff welcomed me, suggested how to plan my day, and pointed out where to go. I managed to enjoy the trip and see most of Rome in three days. I’d definitely recommend it if comfort and time matter to you!

The rooms were spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a really pleasant stay in a welcoming place, centrally located with excellent public transport connections for getting anywhere.

The bathroom is tiny, and the shower barely fits one very slim person. The room has very poor insulation, and if you try to heat or cool it, the staff take away the air-conditioning remote. Cleaning also seemed superficial to me, with the beds not cleaned at all, as far as I could tell. This might work as a hostel substitute, but couples and families should avoid it.
