Hotel Mosaic Central Rome

We’re definitely coming back. The room was even nicer than the photos, and I think it had been renovated. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Absolutely amazing, 10/10!

The rooms were basic but cleaned every day, with fresh towels. There are several great restaurants within walking distance, and bus stops and supermarkets are nearby. It’s a convenient, clean, safe place with extremely helpful staff, and I’d definitely return. The city tax has to be paid in euros on arrival, as required by the city. That’s the case in most places you stay.

We booked two rooms after a cruise. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very helpful, but there were some serious operational problems. The fire alarm kept going off continuously from before 1:00 PM until after 5pm. A handyman was on site but said he couldn’t fix it. The receptionist explained that the person who could repair it was working elsewhere. I spoke with the owner at 4:40pm; he apologized and said someone was on the way. At 5:10pm, the alarm was still going. It made resting impossible and was extremely stressful when we’d come to relax. The hotel is far from the historic centre, on a very busy road, with almost no restaurants nearby, just a cafe that doesn’t serve food. Walking to town, especially at night, wouldn’t feel safe. I’d stay in the historic centre instead, and hope management fixes issues like the alarm to improve the guest experience.

Finding Hotel Mosaic was a little tricky at first, but its location is really convenient. Once we arrived, the staff were super helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was clean, spacious, and had AC. It was fairly quiet, though we could hear people in the hallway. The beds were okay for a short stay, but not the most comfortable. You have to pay the tourist tax in cash at check-in. There was some confusion over the amount: one receptionist said 20 euros, then another said 6 euros the next day. It was a bit strange and left us unsure.
