Mr. Frills Apartment

The location was a real plus, close to the metro, Colosseum and restaurants, but in a quieter area that didn’t feel too touristy. The place was very clean, with a pleasant, simple room, a comfortable enough bed and a shared living room and kitchen. The pillows were a little hard, but I also appreciated being welcomed in person, which feels rare these days. There may have been renovation work nearby. In the next apartment, drilling and jackhammering started at 8 a.m. The noise ruined my first day because I’d planned to rest all morning, and I’d slept so little that I was tired all day. Also, the bathroom window had no curtain, so neighbors could easily see in while you were on the toilet or in the shower.
