We tried staying somewhere nearer the Spanish Steps too, but I wish we'd spent the whole trip here. Rafaelle welcomed us so warmly, marked out how to reach the sights on a map, and suggested some really good places to eat. The neighborhood felt more like a real part of the city, though still welcoming to tourists. To us, other areas felt entirely touristy, while this one seemed around 50-75% tourists. The hotel is handy for the train station and close to the Fontana di Trevi and the Colosseum. Come il Latte, where we had the best gelato we tried, was about a 15-20 minute walk away. Espresso and cookies were available around the clock, and we got yogurt and bottled water each day. We'd stay again.

The shower didn't look very clean, which was my main issue. The sheets and towels seemed clean, though, and the bed was comfortable. The room was surprisingly quiet for somewhere near busy streets. The location is convenient, easy to find, about a 10-minute walk from Roma Termini and close to Colesseo, shops, and restaurants. Getting in was tricky because the keypad wasn't working very well, but once we had a key, the electronic key worked great on the doors. Someone checked our passports the next day, though there wasn't really an attendant during our stay, which suited us. Juice, tea, cookies, and a cafe machine were available in the main lobby. I'd recommend it if the staff cleaned the shower better.

The place was charming, and the location was fantastic. When the lift was out, Rafaelle carried all our bags up four flights of stairs. He was also exceptionally kind and helpful, sharing a long list of sights and things to try along with lots of useful information. Rafaelle is amazing. I'd highly recommend the hotel.

Marco made us feel welcome right away and was incredibly kind. My Monti Place was spotless when we arrived, and the fridge had plenty for our first night and breakfast. We arrived late, so being just a short walk from the train station was ideal. We had a really good stay in Rome and would definitely recommend this comfortable spot.
