We booked the Family Junior Suit for a few nights in Rome on a budget. The area felt nice and safe, and the place was clean. It had a double bed in one space and a double sofa bed in another, where there was also a kitchen with everything we needed. Our towels were changed regularly, and the staff were kind and helpful. The main bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed room wasn't as pleasant to sleep in. The view was of the interior, though that didn't matter much since we spent the days out.

We stayed for 7 nights and only needed public transport twice. The place is near the Spanish stairs and termini, so the location worked really well. It was quite warm in winter, the shower worked fine, and the room was clean with daily cleaning. The kitchen has the basics, including a coffee machine, microwave, fridge, and cooker, though the cooker didn't work very well. They left some coffee capsules, but didn't replace them each day. All in all, a nice option.

The worst part was dealing with the receptionist or facility manager. He was rude whenever I asked for something, made comments judging guests' personalities, and called us pessimistic people when I asked about the toilet. I don't understand how someone like that works in hospitality. Other reviews mention his rude attitude too, and his replies attacking reviewers, so I expect he may respond to this one as well. I highly don't recommend staying here unless the service changes. He can certainly ruin your experience of Rome. There was no facility manager on site much of the time, even during the stated check-in and check-out hours. Reception service was below average. I had to ask three times for batteries for the TV remote and got no response, so I bought them myself. The kettle was only available on request and took 24 hours to arrive. The room is small for a longer stay, and I wouldn't recommend it for more than 3 days.

The location is right in the city center, and the owner seemed like a nice guy. Still, our 3-night stay was really bad. Every day, several things either didn't work or were inconvenient. This is a room in an apartment building, not a hotel, and it felt like a private home in a hostel. There was no soundproofing, so we could hear the neighbors talking and “doing” things. The rooms were small and not cleaned properly. We found ants and other insects in the bathroom, and the old AC didn't always work, leaving the room at 30'C. Cleaning was unreliable too. After a day trip, we got back at midnight to find that all the used towels had been taken away and no fresh ones left. The price is way too high for this room, at least 30% too much. At that price, we'd choose a real hotel. The place needs to be run differently, and the owner should pay more attention to customer feedback and fix these things. We shared this feedback and got only “life is difficult with covid” in response, instead of a proper 30% discount, which would have been reasonable.
