The cleaner was great, and the location was fine. There was some street noise, but it was nothing compared with the noise inside the building. The walls were so thin we may as well have been sharing with the noisy people next door. We had two different noisy groups on consecutive nights, and we could hear everything from the toilet in the room above, including them having a wee. The room also badly needed decorating, and the mattress looked like a relief map of the Andes. We got no check-in information about the outer door being locked in the evening or needing a code to get back in. There was no code information in the room, either. At midnight we were locked out, with our passports and cards in the room safe and almost everything we needed to book another room. None of the door numbers I could make out worked. One went to voicemail, and I left a message but am still waiting for a reply. Another said the phone was off, and the last one was dead. Would I recommend it? No.

Some of my belongings went missing from the room during our stay. When I asked to speak to the person who did the cleaning, I was told he'd gone on holiday for three days, which was the full length of our stay. I don't recommend it at all.

For the price and location, the place isn't bad. It wasn't perfect, but it was clean enough. There was too much humidity, though. On my first day in room number 7, I turned on the main shower and all the water leaked into my room, so I used the other, smaller shower after that. Communication was poor, too. I tried reaching them during my stay, but no luck. Nobody replied on Booking.com or WhatsApp.

I'm here now and looking for another hotel at midnight. I've stayed two nights, and after the first one I was convinced there were bed bugs. I told the front desk and got the most unsatisfactory response. The woman said, “I have never heard anyone else say that.” It was so inappropriate that I was speechless. She asked if it might be a mosquito. I said I hadn't seen or heard any, which you typically do. She told me I was stuck with the room for the night because they were full, but could move today. I wasn't sure I was right, so I didn't push it. She said housekeeping would come disinfect for bed bugs, which could have made things even worse if there were bed bugs and my stuff was still in the room. I was out from early morning and never switched rooms. When I got back, there was an ant on the bathroom floor, another on the bedroom floor, and even one in my bed. I don't have photos because I immediately smacked them. The bites I've developed could potentially be ant bites. Since staying here, at least 15 have appeared on my body, mostly on my hands, where mosquitoes don't typically bite. Someone else saw the bug problem and the other room issues as well. The sheets and towels almost always have mystery stains. The wall by the door looks cracked, moldy, or like it's missing paint. The door is off its hinge at the bottom, leaving a big gap where anyone in the hallway can see in. The window doesn't shut all the way. Housekeepers turn off the AC when you're out, so the mold smell is even worse when you return. Wallpaper is peeling everywhere, the shower is too small for me to lift my arms and wash my hair, the pillows are no better than airplane pillows, and the sheets and towels feel scratchy. My skin is literally crawling, whether from actual ants on me, which has happened, or just the thought of it. For what I'm paying, this has been an absolutely awful experience. I'll attach photos of almost all, if not all, the things I mentioned, including the cluster of bites all over my hands, arms, and legs.
