Oscar 2

When we arrived during the stated check-in hours, nobody was there. We were told they weren't supposed to be on site.

Rakib and the staff were kind, helpful, and easy to reach, and the Wi-Fi and air conditioning were good. I also really appreciated that the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. It's a small, plain place, which was fine for us. The bathroom was a bigger problem: it blocked several times, making it hard to shower or use the toilet, and toilet paper had to go in a bin beside it. To be fair, they emptied that bin every day. I booked because the listing showed a usable kitchen with an oven, since I was travelling with kids. The oven didn't work, the old toaster wasn't much help, and there were so few kitchen items that we couldn't really cook or eat there. There were only two mugs for everyone to share and no glasses. The room was okay, but it wasn't what I thought we'd paid for, and it wasn't ideal with young kids. Still, the friendly people working there helped make up for the place reminding me of a dodgy uni share house.

The rooms were spotless and the beds comfortable. The welcome was lovely, and when we asked for help with our bags, they gave us a hand without any fuss. We were also delighted to find little gifts left at our door. Many thanks to Mr. Rakib for looking after us so well. I'd feel comfortable choosing this place.

We were really disappointed with our stay in the Meryl room. It was extremely dirty, and nothing looked like the photos. The walls were so thin, and I had the same issue as another reviewer who needed to call the check-in person several times. The bathroom was tiny, so you had to sit sideways on the toilet. Toilet paper had to go in the little bin, which would have been fine if the foot pedal worked. Instead, you had to lift the lid off by hand. With the rest of the room so dirty, that felt disgusting.
