The hosts seemed to care more about the excellent location, just steps from Trevi Fountain, than the guests’ comfort. Our room was old and dirty, with no maintenance. Barely any hot water came through the shower, and on the last day the bathroom’s glass door came loose above my husband. Maid service came only once during our stay. I wouldn’t return, even with that good location.

Staff were quick to reply and helped print my boarding pass, and they let me store my luggage after checkout. The room was neat and spacious, with a comfortable queen bed, good air conditioning, and a big TV with Netflix. It’s in the Pantheon neighborhood, which stays busy until midnight.

The bosses run a smaller place and were very helpful. My room and bathroom were clean, which was all I needed, and everything is within walking distance. It’s so convenient, right by Trevi Fountain. For a short shopping break, it was ideal, and I’ll definitely stay here whenever I come to Rome again. One of the bosses, Francesca, is gorgeous too. Love from Richard Collis wesingwestaytogether.com

The Trevi Fountain is right at the end of the road, and the bed was comfortable. Lorenzo was a fantastic host, really friendly and accommodating. I had a great stay.

We arrived early and couldn’t get the owner to answer the doorbell. Without a local SIM or data, we couldn’t call, and were lucky that a tourist couple passing by let us use their WhatsApp. The room was spacious and well located, but dated, with rock-hard pillows. The bathroom and especially the shower could have been cleaner. There’s also a big hole in the sink that things could fall into. I’m not sure if that’s just a Rome thing. A full-length mirror would be a useful addition too.
