The listing on Booking was misleading: the actual location differed from the one shown, the photos didn’t match, breakfast wasn’t included as advertised, and several listed features were missing, including the air conditioning remote. The blinds were broken and the facilities dirty and outdated. The host first insisted I pay cash even though my Booking reservation clearly said credit or debit card. After 40 miutes, I threatened to call the Police, and he took me to another apartment where I could try the POS machine. He said it often didn’t work, but it worked perfectly on the first try. I wanted to call the Police. Terrible experience, avoid this place at all costs.

The rooms were very cold because the heating wasn’t working properly, and the owner didn’t deal with it. Service was poor throughout. Staff couldn’t communicate well, and when our flight was delayed, the owner wouldn’t accommodate a late check-in. We had to get a friend to help us check in, but the owner still arrived an hour after the time we’d agreed. It was inconvenient and frustrating. On top of that, the owner tried to charge more than the amount quoted during booking. Based on this stay, I can’t recommend the accommodation.

We stayed five nights as a family of two adults and one child. The room was cleaned every day, and the owner helped us whenever we needed, even with the door. The heating worked well, so it was warm and cozy at night. It was good value for the price, close to the metro, Vatican, supermarkets, and buses. The walls are very thin, but that didn’t bother us; it stayed quiet the whole time. The owner also suggested what he called the best restaurant ever nearby, al jolly.

The place was okay and conveniently near the metro and Vatican City, but the rent could have been more reasonable. Parking cost an extra 20 Euro per day at a garage, and the breakfast coupon for a nearby bakery only covered one bakery item, a coffee, and a glass of water. That wasn’t enough for us. If you need a proper breakfast, car parking, and a way to get around the city, I’d suggest finding a decent hotel with those included.
