The area around the hotel was lovely, with lots of nice cafés, and it’s a 40-minute walk from the Colosseum. I had a single room in May 2025. It was small, but fine for sleeping since I didn’t spend much time there. The place is cheap and kind of vintage, and the staff are friendly. The bed was made when I came back, though I don’t think the bedding or soaps were changed daily. Water pressure in the bathroom sometimes dropped at night, which was odd. I skipped breakfast for a café down the street. There was free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, and TV access. It got quite warm, and there’s no AC, so open the window when you can. If you’re not too picky about where you sleep, it’s perfectly fine.

The location was the only good part for me. I booked through hotwire, and this experience makes me think I won’t use them again, since their properties are usually one star below what they advertise, like this one. It’s a very basic, dated two-star hotel stuck in the 1980s. Everything in the rooms looks 40 years old, and the elevator seems straight out of the 1950s.

We booked two rooms. One was acceptable, but the other was completely filthy, with exposed wiring and mold, plus stains on the walls, floors, and ceilings. An older gentleman was working there and was extremely short with us. He made us pay in cash. The rooms they gave us looked nothing like the photos advertised on their site.

The rates are very reasonable for such a prime spot, and staying at Hotel Priscilla made sightseeing convenient. Major attractions are all an easy walk away, which saved us time and transport costs. It was great value for money and made my trip more enjoyable.

The hotel is lovely and not too far from the sights, but be careful about the room you book. We reserved a superior room for three and were shown to a space that was no better than a hostel room, without even a kettle. After a lot of complaining, we had to pay extra for what I believe was the room we should have been given in the first place.
