Just need a cheap place to sleep without anything fancy? This should do the job.

The location is prime, though it gets a bit loud. Still a good place.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the location was good.

The room was surprisingly large, with an extra bed we used for our clothes and a wardrobe. The bathroom was small but worked well, and the shower stayed hot for ages. They also provided a hairdryer, shampoo, soap, and moisturizer. Wi-Fi was super fast, better than in plenty of four- or five-star hotels, and there was a table for a quick breakfast or dinner. Everything was clean, from the floors and bathroom to the sheets. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help. For two or three nights in Rome on a small budget, the well-located accommodation is well worth it. A couple of things were missing: an electric kettle and a minibar would have been useful. They did bring hot water when we asked for tea or soup. The room had little natural light because its street-facing window had a metal blind blocking it, and although it wasn’t cold, we couldn’t adjust the heater. The reception is part of an apartment where I assume the owners live, so there was a strong food smell near the refrigerator, and we could hear a lot from the other rooms and reception.
