Money went missing from my bag while I left it in the room. When I told reception, they were dismissive and unhelpful, asking why I hadn't used the safe instead of taking my concern seriously. Guests shouldn't have to expect that their belongings are unsafe in a hotel room. The receptionist was rude and showed no empathy. The room was also very cramped and not particularly clean. Based on my stay, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Getting around Rome was easy from here, with Termini close by for the metro, trains, and buses. The price felt reasonable for the area and service, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout the hotel. The place was very clean. We regularly saw staff looking after the hotel, and everyone we met was welcoming. Our room was cleaned and the towels changed every day. It also had a small fridge, shower caps, shower gel, soap, and shampoo, enough for a short visit. Our double room was two single beds pushed together, which wasn't ideal for sleeping, and the room was small with dated decor. Still, it was comfortable enough for a short stay. The hairdryer was noisy and not very effective, and with no shower curtain, water ended up on the bathroom floor. Breakfast wasn't worth it for me. There wasn't much choice: toast and simple sandwich fillings, a couple of cereals, some yogurts and pastries. The coffee from the machine wasn't very good, and the juice machine didn't impress either. We came to Rome to enjoy the city, and for that this hotel worked well.

The staff were polite, which was the only positive I can point to. This was my third trip to Rome, and I’ve stayed in mediocre hotels before, but this one was in a league of its own. I felt the hotel actively damaged my trip. Coming back each day filled me with dread. I received no compensation, accommodation, or acknowledgment. The room bore little resemblance to the online photos. It was tiny, reached through claustrophobic corridors, and the building felt neglected for decades rather than charmingly old. The elevators creaked and looked ancient enough that I considered taking the stairs for safety. The room lacked basics, including coffee, and there were problems with hot water. In the bathroom, the toilet area leaked and the showerhead was broken. The rear-facing view looked directly into other guests’ rooms, leaving me with no privacy unless I shut the window. But the air conditioning barely worked, was restricted to 24°C or higher, and, according to the hotel’s stated policy and the response I received, was switched off at night because it was “cool enough outside.” With the window shut, I had little air; with it open, I had no privacy. I paid for a room and wanted the AC to reflect my comfort, not the hotel’s weather opinion. I was charged the city tax twice and then, five days into my stay, asked to show a receipt for the first payment. I don’t think a tourist exploring Rome should be expected to keep a receipt for a week. Breakfast was sparse and uninspiring. The coffee tasted metallic, almost leaden, and the milk seemed close to expiring. Avoid this place and spend your money somewhere it will be respected.

The hotel itself was nice, but students were staying there and kept making noise, going in and out of each other’s rooms until 4:00 am. We lost a whole night of sleep. I’d book somewhere else, since you need a good night’s rest to tour Rome.

The location near Roma terminali is good, and the rooms were clean and quiet. Staff were wonderful, too. Breakfast was good enough to eat, though there wasn't much choice. The room mirrors were the style that stood out to me. I'd put the hotel somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, and it works well for a stay of a day or two.
