With only a few rooms, the hotel was really quiet, and the air conditioner worked well, which is a must in summer. We also enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the kitchen. The location is right in the heart of the city, so all the sights were walkable for us. We didn't need buses, and we felt safe walking at night. The Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo are almost across the river, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, including along the river. A couple of tips: MyCicero is available on the App Store and Google Play, and you can use it to pay for buses and trains without finding a ticket machine. Pizzeria da Baffeto is 300m from the hotel, and the pizza was the best ever! Also, breakfast in Italy is often just coffee and a croissant, so if you're used to a big breakfast it may take a while to find one.

Breakfast is limited, so if you like to eat a lot in the morning, you probably won't enjoy it. Still, the room where it's served has cute tables. The location was wonderful, close to so many things, and the experience was amazing. Get one of the rooms with a nice view. The owner was a very good, honest person and gave us lots of advice as newcomers to Rome.

There are lots of bars downstairs. We sat at a table and ordered drinks, but the server told us each person had to order an entree too. We politely left, and I don't plan to visit that touristy trap again.

Our room looked out over the Piazza, and wow, it was amazing and comfortable. I'd happily stay here again.
