Rent In Rome - Trastevere Suite

Getting helpful information when we arrived was difficult. The room itself was clean and laid out well, but the air conditioner leaked. We told the owner, who said he'd take care of it. After a day out exploring Rome, we came back to find the curtains had been removed and the leak was still bad enough that we put a small towel underneath to avoid waking up to a puddle. The kitchen was shared by the two B&B rooms. There was a large bottle of water in the fridge for each room, but the guests in the other room took both bottles in the morning. Our room was on the third floor, up four flights and 40 stairs. That's manageable unless you're carrying heavy bags, and there is no elevator. About 100 m down the street there's a fountain with running fresh water, available 24/7. Popi Popi Restaurant is across from it. We had a very good dinner there at a reasonable price, with good service.

The included Italian breakfast was coffee or cappuccino, a croissant, and fruit juice at baylon bar, 20 metter from the accommodation. The room was comfortable and very clear, with a large baht, and the staff were professional and gentlemanly at check-in. The location in Trastevere is great for getting around the center of Rome. Basilica Santa Maria in Trastevere is 200 meter away, and I walked to Colosseo, Piazza Navona ed Tiber island. Tram 8 is close by and took me to Piazza Venezia and Fori imperiali. From Fiumicino airport, I took “ Express Leonardo” to Trastevere Station in 20 min, then Tram 8 for 10 min to the area.

A clean, pleasant appartment near the city center, with taxis, buses, and the tram close by. The nice bars and restaurants in Trastevere are right nearby too.

The rooms are well equipped with a small fridge and air conditioning, and they're excellent value. You're steps from the tram line and right by the charming Trastevere area.
